Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Nigeria Using Difference-in-Differences Approach to Measure Clinical Outcomes
Abstract
Community health centers in Nigeria play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to underserved populations. However, their effectiveness and efficiency need further evaluation. A difference-in-differences model will be applied to assess changes in clinical outcomes before and after implementing quality improvement measures at randomly selected health centers. The study will include baseline data collection, follow-up assessments, and control group comparisons. An initial dataset from 10 randomly chosen health centers shows a statistically significant $[\Delta Y = \beta_0 + \beta_1 T + \epsilon]$ improvement in patient recovery rates (p-value < 0.05). The difference-in-differences approach demonstrates the potential of using policy interventions to enhance clinical performance in Nigerian health centers. Further research should be conducted on a larger scale and with additional control variables to validate these findings.
