Abstract

Adolescent pregnancy rates remain high in rural areas of Ethiopia, highlighting a need for effective interventions. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies. Studies were included based on predefined criteria, and data were extracted using standardised forms. Meta-analytic methods were applied to aggregate effect sizes across studies. The meta-analysis revealed a significant reduction in adolescent pregnancy rates (OR = 0.75, CI: 0.63-0.89) associated with school-based SRH education programmes. School-based SRH education programmes significantly reduce adolescent pregnancy rates among rural Ethiopian girls. Promote the implementation of comprehensive and evidence-based SRH education in schools to further mitigate high adolescent pregnancy rates. adolescent pregnancy, school-based SRH education, Ethiopia, meta-analysis
