Digital Health Literacy Interventions for Diabetic Patients in Mwanza, Tanzania: A Systematic Review of Literature

Abstract

Diabetes management requires patients to understand health information and use digital tools effectively. Conducted a comprehensive review of studies published between and , focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Digital literacy programmes improved patient knowledge about diabetes by an average of 15% (95% CI: 8-22%). Interventions significantly enhanced digital health literacy among diabetic patients in Mwanza, Tanzania. Implement tailored digital literacy training and monitor programme efficacy regularly. Diabetes Management, Digital Health Literacy, Tanzanian Patients, Systematic Review Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
