Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Tanzania: A Randomized Field Trial for Risk Reduction Assessment
Abstract
Community health centers (CHCs) in Tanzania play a crucial role in primary healthcare delivery. However, their effectiveness and efficiency need systematic evaluation to ensure they meet public health standards. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies, focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) conducted in Tanzanian CHCs. Studies were assessed for quality and methodological adherence using predefined criteria. The analysis revealed a significant proportion (p < 0.05) of RCTs used complex multivariate regression models to assess risk reduction, indicating robust statistical approaches. This review underscores the necessity for standardised methodologies in CHC evaluations to enhance public health interventions and outcomes. Enhanced methodological standards should be implemented to ensure consistency and reliability of evidence-based healthcare delivery. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
