Methodological Assessment of Secondary School Systems in Ethiopia: A Cost-Effectiveness Randomized Field Trial Review

Abstract

The educational system in Ethiopia faces challenges related to cost-effectiveness, particularly in secondary schools where resources are limited and demand for quality education is high. A systematic search was conducted using databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar. Studies were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria related to methodological rigor, cost-effectiveness metrics, and relevance to environmental science. The review identified several studies that employed a cost-benefit analysis framework with multiple regression models to assess the economic impact of various interventions within secondary school systems in Ethiopia. This scoping review highlights the methodological approaches used in previous studies but does not present new empirical data or findings as these were primarily focused on reviews and evaluations. Future research should focus on replicating and expanding upon existing methods with larger sample sizes to ensure robust cost-effectiveness measures across a broader spectrum of interventions. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
