Translating African literature into global languages poses unique challenges due to cultural nuances and language-specific idioms. A qualitative approach involving interviews with translators and scholars, as well as a content analysis of translated texts. Translators reported difficulties in preserving the original emotional depth and metaphors across languages, particularly between French and English translations. This study highlights the necessity for more culturally sensitive translation practices to ensure authentic representation of African literature globally. Develop a standardised glossary of cultural terms and employ community feedback loops during translation processes.
