Abstract

Mali has experienced several political transitions since its independence in , with significant gender dynamics influencing these processes. The analysis draws from secondary sources such as official documents, press releases, and academic articles to explore gendered power dynamics within the context of Mali’s transitional governance structures. The commentary underscores the importance of gender-sensitive approaches in transitional governance to ensure inclusive political processes and equitable outcomes. Policy makers should incorporate gender analysis into their strategies, particularly when engaging with local communities and civil society organizations during transitions.
