Abstract

The Sahel region of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a semi-arid area facing significant climate variability and change, impacting human security in various dimensions such as food insecurity, health crises, and displacement. Not applicable (results presented under key insights). The theoretical model developed offers a robust framework for understanding the complex interactions between climate change and human security in DRC's Sahel, setting the stage for empirical validation and practical application. Policy makers should prioritise early warning systems and targeted community-based interventions to address immediate vulnerabilities while promoting sustainable adaptation strategies.
