Abstract

South African coastal villages are grappling with high HIV/AIDS prevalence rates, necessitating innovative community-based prevention and care models. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, and longitudinal data analysis to assess model implementation and impact. The framework identifies key themes such as community engagement, resource mobilization, and collaborative service delivery for effective intervention. Policy makers should prioritise funding for scalable replication of successful models and ongoing support structures.
