Abstract

This study examines Gambia's entrepreneurship ecosystems and innovation hubs within the broader context of East Africa. The research employs qualitative methods including semi-structured interviews and document analysis to understand local dynamics and stakeholder perspectives. Findings indicate that the presence of innovation hubs has significantly enhanced access to capital, networks, and mentorship opportunities for entrepreneurs in Gambia. Innovation hubs play a crucial role in fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing resources and support structures vital for local businesses. Policy makers are encouraged to invest more in infrastructure development and capacity building within innovation hubs to enhance their effectiveness.
