Abstract
Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa facing challenges related to economic development and governance. A qualitative comparative study was conducted by reviewing existing literature and gathering secondary data from official ECOWAS documents. The ECOWAS integration process has led to a notable increase in trade flows, but governance challenges persist due to corruption and inefficiencies within member states. Regional economic blocs like ECOWAS offer opportunities for economic growth but require enhanced governance frameworks to ensure equitable benefits across all member countries. Mali should advocate for stronger enforcement of existing agreements and promote transparency in ECOWAS decision-making processes.
