Abstract

Eco-friendly waste management in Lagos slums is a critical issue for sustainable urban development in Nigeria. A conceptual analysis will guide the development of a theoretical model based on existing literature and expert insights. Stakeholder engagement will be central to this process. This framework provides a robust theoretical basis for policymakers and practitioners aiming to implement sustainable waste management solutions in Lagos slums. Policymakers should prioritise community empowerment and economic incentives as key strategies for successful implementation of eco-friendly waste management programmes.
