Abstract
In Uganda, African universities play a pivotal role in fostering knowledge production and dissemination within the field of African Studies. No empirical data will be presented; instead, a comprehensive literature review will guide the analysis of university roles. The theoretical framework underscores the importance of academic collaboration between universities and policymakers for effective knowledge dissemination and action against political violence. Future studies should explore more longitudinal data to understand dynamic changes in university focus over time.
