Abstract

The Nile Basin is a critical water resource for countries such as Kenya, facing challenges exacerbated by climate change and population growth. This study employs quantitative methods using historical data from multiple sources including government reports, academic journals, and satellite imagery to analyse trends and conflicts related to water resources. The replication confirms previous findings regarding increased water scarcity and its correlation with socio-economic disparities in the region. While confirming existing patterns, this study highlights the effectiveness of certain conflict mitigation strategies implemented by international organizations such as the Nile Basin Initiative. Further research should focus on integrating community-based solutions to address localized conflicts more effectively. Nile Basin, water scarcity, conflict mitigation, quantitative replication
