Abstract

Historical governance challenges in Guinea have shaped contemporary political landscapes. An interpretive analysis using archival and secondary data to trace the roots of contemporary governance challenges. Specific themes in colonial rule and economic exploitation have significantly influenced modern governance structures and public policy outcomes in Guinea. The historical context reveals persistent structural issues that continue to impact current governance practices in Guinea. Policy recommendations aimed at addressing these historical legacies are proposed, emphasising the need for inclusive political reforms and socio-economic development strategies.
