Abstract
This commentary focuses on a six-year study of post-secondary education access programmes for rural female students in Western Kenya. The methodology involved collecting data through surveys and interviews with students and educators across various post-secondary institutions in Western Kenya over a six-year period. The conclusion emphasizes the need for targeted interventions to improve retention rates among rural female students. Recommendations include expanding scholarship opportunities, strengthening educational support systems, and fostering community engagement to enhance student success.
