The Sahel's Human Security under Climate Change: A Comparative Study in Chad

Abstract

This study examines the Sahel region of Chad to assess how climate change impacts human security. Data were collected through household surveys and interviews. Statistical analysis was performed using regression models for trend identification. In , households reported a 35% increase in food insecurity compared to baseline levels. Climate change exacerbates existing vulnerabilities leading to increased conflict and health issues in the Sahel of Chad. Immediate interventions are needed to mitigate climate-induced risks for local communities.
