Community Health Worker Mobilization for Increased Vaccination Coverage in Moroccan Villages, Kenya
Abstract
Vaccination coverage remains a critical public health challenge in many developing countries, including Morocco and Kenya. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving baseline assessments, intervention implementation, and post-intervention follow-ups to measure changes in vaccination uptake. Community health workers successfully increased vaccination coverage by 25% (p<0.01) across targeted villages compared to pre-intervention levels. The intervention demonstrated significant potential for improving vaccine accessibility and acceptance, particularly among underserved populations. Further research should explore scalability of this approach in diverse settings and evaluate long-term sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
