Abstract
The Political Eclogue explores the complex interplay of politics and ecology in Central Africa's natural resource extraction sector, focusing on South African contexts within broader African Studies. A conceptual analysis grounded in political ecology theory, drawing from existing literature on resource management and South African case studies. This framework underscores the necessity for integrated policy approaches that balance resource exploitation with sustainable environmental management and equitable stakeholder participation. Policymakers should adopt a multi-stakeholder approach to decision-making, incorporating indigenous knowledge systems and fostering collaborative governance structures.
