Theoretical Foundations for Comparative Analysis of African Regional Economic Blocs: A Discourse on Gambia's Context
Abstract
This article explores the theoretical foundations for a comparative analysis of African regional economic blocs with a specific focus on Gambia's context within this field. No empirical results are provided; instead, this article employs a qualitative discourse to analyse theoretical aspects relevant to African studies focusing on Gambia's context within regional blocs. The theoretical framework presented offers valuable insights for understanding and predicting future developments within African regional blocs, particularly concerning Gambia’s economic landscape. Policy makers are advised to consider proactive strategies that mitigate adverse effects from external economic pressures, such as negotiating favorable trade agreements and fostering local industries.
