Gender and Power Dynamics in Chad's Political Transitions: An African Perspective

Chad is a Sub-Saharan African country facing frequent political transitions due to its complex geopolitical landscape, which includes influences from neighboring countries and international actors. The study employs qualitative research methods supplemented with secondary data analysis to explore the intersection of gender and power in Chadian politics across various historical periods. A notable finding is that despite increasing female participation in political discourse, women often face systemic barriers preventing them from achieving leadership positions or influencing policy decisions. The research underscores persistent challenges in fostering inclusive governance in Chad, particularly regarding gender equality and power distribution among political actors. Policy recommendations include the need for targeted interventions to empower female politicians and promote equitable representation of women in Chadian politics.
