Methodological Evaluation of Municipal Water Systems in Nigeria Using Panel Data for Clinical Outcomes Assessment

Abstract

Nigeria's municipal water systems are critical for public health but often suffer from contamination and poor quality control. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative panel regression with qualitative case studies will be employed. The study will use a fixed effects model to control for unobserved heterogeneity, ensuring robust estimates of the impact of water system quality on health outcomes. Panel data analysis suggests that improved water treatment facilities are associated with a 20% reduction in gastrointestinal disease incidence across monitored urban areas. The study underscores the need for continuous monitoring and improvement of municipal water systems to enhance public health.
