Abstract

The Sahelian region in Djibouti is experiencing significant climate variability, which has profound implications for human security. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights from interviews and case studies. Climate-related shocks have led to a 20% increase in food insecurity across the region, highlighting the vulnerability of local populations to environmental stressors. The study underscores the necessity for adaptive policies that integrate climate resilience into existing security frameworks. Developing early warning systems and enhancing community-based adaptation strategies are recommended as key interventions.
