Abstract

University leadership plays a crucial role in shaping knowledge ecosystems within African countries like Chad. A survey was conducted with key stakeholders from 10 major universities in Chad to gather data on their leadership structures, funding mechanisms, and initiatives aimed at fostering a robust knowledge ecosystem. University leaders in Chad reported significant challenges such as limited resources and bureaucratic inefficiencies, which hindered the effective dissemination of knowledge across the region. The study highlights the importance of strategic partnerships between universities to overcome these challenges and enhance knowledge sharing within and outside the country. Recommendation for policymakers includes increased funding for research infrastructure and support for collaborative networks among African universities.
