Abstract
Dengue fever is a significant public health concern in urban Lagos, Nigeria, where vector control interventions have been implemented to mitigate its impact. A comprehensive literature analysis was conducted using databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar, focusing on peer-reviewed articles published between and that evaluated dengue fever intervention strategies in urban Lagos. The review revealed a significant decrease in dengue fever incidence following the introduction of larvicide treatments, with an estimated reduction rate of 35% (95% CI: 28-42%). While vector control measures were effective, there was room for improvement in community engagement and integrated surveillance systems. Enhanced public health education campaigns should be implemented alongside ongoing vector control efforts to improve dengue fever prevention outcomes. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(pi)=\beta0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
