Abstract

Burkina Faso has recently emerged from a period of political instability following a coup in . Education systems have been severely impacted during this time. No empirical results are presented; instead, a comprehensive literature review is conducted to inform insights into the sector’s current state. The educational recovery efforts are progressing but require sustained support to address remaining challenges, particularly those related to infrastructure and teacher training. A multi-agency approach is recommended, including increased investment in school facilities and teacher development programmes tailored to local contexts.
