Abstract

The geopolitical dynamics in North Africa's energy sector have been characterized by significant shifts over recent decades, influenced by global oil prices and regional political instability. This theoretical framework elucidates how geopolitical shifts in North Africa's energy sector have reconfigured regional security dynamics, emphasising the importance of understanding these changes for future policy-making and conflict resolution efforts. Policy-makers should consider integrating more diversified energy sources into national strategies to mitigate risks associated with single-point dependencies and enhance resilience against potential conflicts over scarce resources. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
