Abstract

Afrofuturism is a cultural movement that explores how African diaspora communities envision their future in relation to historical and contemporary challenges. This piece draws upon existing Afrofuturist literature and theoretical frameworks to analyse the socio-economic conditions in Tanzania. The analysis highlights the need for policymakers to integrate Afrofuturist principles into their planning processes to ensure equitable development outcomes. Recommendation is for Tanzanian governments and stakeholders to engage with Afrofuturist concepts in designing policies that promote inclusivity, sustainability, and technological advancement.
