Abstract
Entrepreneurship ecosystems and innovation hubs have become critical components in fostering economic growth and development across various regions of Africa. The research employs a comprehensive survey methodology involving interviews with stakeholders from government agencies, private sector enterprises, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to gather data on existing infrastructure, policies, and challenges faced by these ecosystems in Djibouti. A notable finding is the significant underinvestment in digital connectivity within innovation hubs, which hinders their full potential for fostering entrepreneurial activities. The study concludes that strategic investments in digital infrastructure are essential to enhance the effectiveness of entrepreneurship ecosystems and innovation hubs in Djibouti. Authorities should prioritise the development of robust digital infrastructures as a key recommendation for policymakers aiming to support entrepreneurship and innovation in Djibouti.
