Abstract

Southern African migrant communities in Morocco have faced significant cultural challenges due to linguistic and socio-cultural differences. In-depth interviews with 50 Moroccan migrants were conducted using semi-structured questionnaires. Data was analysed through thematic content analysis. A notable proportion (60%) of respondents reported successfully integrating their cultural practices into daily life, despite language barriers and social isolation. The study highlights the importance of intercultural education programmes in fostering resilience among migrant communities. Policy makers should prioritise community engagement initiatives that promote mutual understanding and respect for diverse cultures.
