Abstract

Gendered power dynamics have become a critical lens through which to examine African political transitions, particularly in Ethiopia. A review of secondary data on gender policies and political participation from to , focusing on legislative and executive bodies. While progress has been made, persistent gender disparities persist, necessitating comprehensive policy interventions that challenge deeply ingrained social structures. Implementing targeted training programmes for political elites on gender inclusion strategies and increasing accountability mechanisms to monitor compliance with gender quotas.
