The Evolution of Philosophical Thought in Côte d'Ivoire Post-Colonization,
Abstract
This study examines the evolution of philosophical thought in Côte d'Ivoire following its post-colonial era. This comparative study employs an interpretive approach, analysing philosophical texts and governmental documents from key institutions in Côte d'Ivoire. Data is sourced through archival research and interviews conducted with scholars and policymakers. The analysis reveals a significant shift towards more inclusive and participatory governance models, characterized by themes of social justice and community empowerment. While the study highlights promising developments in philosophical thought, it also identifies challenges such as resistance from traditional power structures and limited integration into formal policy frameworks. Policymakers are advised to further engage with local communities and incorporate indigenous knowledge systems to enhance the effectiveness of their governance initiatives.
