Ethiopia is a country deeply rooted in African philosophy, which has shaped its cultural, social, and political landscapes over centuries. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilising in-depth interviews with scholars, policymakers, and community leaders who have expertise in Ethiopian philosophy and its ethical dimensions. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews to ensure rich descriptions of perspectives. Themes emerged from the data include the importance of Ubuntu (community-oriented ethics) and respect for ancestors in contemporary discussions on environmental stewardship and social justice, with a notable proportion of respondents emphasising these concepts' global relevance. Ethiopian philosophical insights highlight universal ethical values that transcend cultural boundaries, offering valuable contributions to ongoing debates on human rights, sustainability, and intergenerational responsibility. Further research should explore the integration of Ethiopian philosophy into international ethics curricula and policy frameworks, emphasising its relevance in addressing contemporary global challenges.
