Comparative Business Practices in Tanzanian Regions: A Review and Analysis
Abstract
Comparative business practices across African regions have garnered significant interest due to their economic potential and development challenges. The research employs a qualitative approach to gather data from key informants and existing literature on business practices in Tanzania's major regions. Findings indicate significant differences in business practices between the coastal, central, and northern regions of Tanzania, with higher emphasis on formal contracts in the central region compared to informal arrangements elsewhere. The study highlights the importance of understanding regional-specific business practices for effective policy formulation and support. Policymakers should tailor their interventions based on regional characteristics to foster sustainable economic growth.
