Sustaining Development through Arts and Humanities in Egyptian Contexts: A Policy Perspective
Abstract
The Egyptian context offers a unique intersection of arts and humanities with sustainable development goals. A qualitative analysis of existing policies and interviews with key stakeholders from the Egyptian arts and humanities sectors. The integration of arts and humanities programmes into community development projects has shown a positive impact in enhancing local economic resilience by fostering creativity and entrepreneurship. There is potential for further policy support to leverage arts and humanities as catalysts for sustainable development, especially in disadvantaged communities. Develop targeted funding mechanisms and capacity-building initiatives specifically aimed at integrating arts and humanities into community-based development projects.
