Renewable Energy Technologies in Kenyan Small Communities: A Theoretical Framework Analysis

Abstract

Renewable energy technologies have emerged as a critical component in addressing sustainable development goals, particularly in rural and small community settings where access to traditional energy sources is limited. The approach will involve a comprehensive literature review supplemented by thematic analysis of existing RET projects within Kenyan small communities. The theoretical framework identifies several policy levers that can enhance RET uptake, including financial support mechanisms and community engagement strategies. Develop targeted financial schemes for small communities and encourage stakeholder collaboration to facilitate the widespread adoption of renewable energy technologies.
