Abstract

Adolescent migrants in South Africa face unique challenges related to immunization rates due to cultural and socio-economic factors. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify existing strategies aimed at reducing vaccine hesitancy in this demographic. Parental acceptance strategies such as community engagement and education significantly increased vaccination uptake by around 20%. Effective parental acceptance of vaccines is crucial for improving immunization rates among adolescent migrants in South Africa. Integrate culturally sensitive educational programmes into existing health initiatives to increase vaccine acceptance.
