Digital Preservation Paradigms in West African Cultural Heritage Contexts
Abstract
Digital preservation in West African cultural heritage contexts is an emerging field within African Studies, facing unique challenges and opportunities. No empirical data collection or analysis is included; instead, the theoretical development will be based on existing literature and expert insights. Theoretical models will highlight how digital technologies can complement traditional conservation methods while preserving cultural authenticity. Policy recommendations suggest integrating community engagement and technological innovation in digital preservation efforts.
