Abstract

Afrofuturism is a concept that explores African diasporic futures through cultural and speculative narratives, often envisioning technological advancements and social justice. The study employs a qualitative comparative analysis of existing Afrofuturist works and interviews with key stakeholders to identify themes and trends related to future-oriented narratives in Ivorian society. Themes such as technological integration into daily life, environmental sustainability, and equitable social structures emerged as significant directions for future development in Côte d'Ivoire. Afrofuturism offers a valuable framework for policymakers to envision and plan for transformative changes that align with current societal values and aspirations. Policymakers should integrate Afrofuturist insights into planning processes, particularly in sectors related to technology, environment, and social equity, to ensure sustainable and just development trajectories.
