Abstract

The Republic of Congo has faced significant health challenges during recent epidemics, necessitating robust resilience strategies to manage future outbreaks effectively. No empirical data were collected or analysed; this brief synthesizes existing literature and expert insights on Congolese responses to recent epidemics. Key themes identified include the critical role of community engagement, early warning systems, and integrated healthcare delivery in mitigating epidemic impacts. While acknowledging the uniqueness of Congolese contexts, this brief identifies universalizable lessons that can inform more resilient health systems in Africa. - Strengthen public-private partnerships for epidemic preparedness. - Invest in community-based surveillance networks. - Promote integrated healthcare services to enhance cross-sector collaboration.
