Abstract

This article examines cultural adaptation and resilience dynamics within Southern African migrant communities in Chad. Qualitative interviews with community leaders and focus group discussions were conducted among the migrant population in Chad. Migrant families reported maintaining traditional festivals while integrating local customs, fostering resilience through intergenerational knowledge transfer. The findings highlight the importance of cultural preservation for migrant communities' social stability and economic survival. Support programmes should incorporate strategies that encourage cultural continuity alongside integration efforts.
