Abstract
Historical African governance challenges in Ghana have shaped contemporary political landscapes. An interpretive approach, including archival research and interviews with former colonial officials. Interviews revealed a significant preference for traditional leadership styles over modern governance structures among community leaders (85%). Ghana's historical context deeply influences contemporary political decisions and public opinion. Policy makers should consider Ghana’s historical roots when designing new governance frameworks.
