Abstract
Addis Ababa’s urban slums face significant waste management challenges due to rapid population growth and inadequate infrastructure. A mixed-methods approach incorporating qualitative interviews with stakeholders and quantitative data analysis of service usage patterns among slum dwellers. Technological innovations can significantly enhance waste management outcomes in urban slums if supported by robust community engagement and appropriate governance structures. Develop tailored service models that incorporate technological solutions and emphasise inclusive stakeholder participation to ensure sustainable impact.
