Abstract

The review focuses on a book that explores the integration of traditional medicine into contemporary healthcare systems in Morocco. No empirical results are presented; instead, the review synthesizes existing literature on traditional medicine within Moroccan healthcare systems to provide an analytical overview. A key finding is that traditional medicine practitioners often operate in a legal grey area, with few formal regulations governing their practice and interaction with government health services. The review concludes by highlighting the need for clearer guidelines on traditional medicine integration into official healthcare systems to ensure quality care and public trust. Specific recommendations include developing standardised training programmes for traditional healers and establishing a regulatory body to oversee their practice within the formal healthcare system.
