Public transportation policies in Kampala are crucial for both reducing congestion and improving environmental sustainability, given its rapid urbanization and high population density. Theoretical analysis will be employed, drawing on existing literature on public transportation policy impacts in similar contexts. The theoretical framework underscores the importance of policy design in promoting public transportation as an environmentally friendly option for urban commuters. Future research should explore specific implementation strategies and their impacts on commuter behaviour, particularly focusing on marginalized communities.
