Abstract

Mobile health monitoring technologies (MHMTs) have gained increasing attention in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes globally. In urban Ghanaian communities, where access to healthcare is often limited, MHMTs could offer a viable solution for effective disease management. Not applicable as this is a theoretical framework article focusing on conceptual development rather than empirical research. This theoretical framework provides foundational insights into the application of MHMTs for diabetic management, highlighting their potential as a cost-effective and accessible solution within urban Ghanaian communities. Future research should focus on evaluating MHMTs in diverse urban settings across different African countries to validate these preliminary findings.
