Cultural Adaptation and Resilience Dynamics in Southern African Migrant Communities: A Theoretical Framework

Southern African migrant communities face unique challenges related to cultural adaptation and resilience in Namibia, a country with significant demographic shifts due to migration from neighboring countries. Theoretical synthesis will be employed through literature review and conceptual analysis to identify key factors influencing cultural adaptation and resilience dynamics. This theoretical framework highlights the importance of understanding intergenerational transmission of culture, economic integration strategies, and social networks as critical for fostering resilient migrant communities in Namibia. Policy makers should consider implementing targeted support programmes that address cultural preservation efforts alongside infrastructural development to enhance community resilience and cohesion.
