Youth Workshops on Climate Change Resilience in Northern Ghana: Community Preparedness and Learning Levels Analysis

Abstract
Youth workshops on climate change resilience in Northern Ghana have been implemented to enhance community preparedness and learning levels. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including pre- and post-workshop surveys to assess changes in knowledge and attitudes among workshop attendees. The analysis revealed a significant increase (p<0.05) in participants’ awareness regarding climate change impacts and mitigation strategies after the workshops. The youth workshops effectively improved community preparedness for climate change, with notable gains in learning levels as evidenced by the survey data. Further training programmes should be tailored to address gaps identified during the workshops, particularly focusing on practical adaptation measures.
