Abstract
Southern Ethiopia's cattle ranching sector is under increasing pressure from climate change, necessitating adoption of climate-smart agricultural technologies (CSATs). A mixed-methods approach combining structured interviews with a survey to assess farmers' perceptions, knowledge, and barriers to adopting CSATs. While significant potential exists for CSATs, adoption remains constrained by farmers' financial constraints, lack of technical knowledge, and inadequate infrastructure. Develop tailored training programmes addressing specific barriers to CSATs and explore public-private partnerships to enhance access to technology and financing options.
