Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Ghana Using Quasi-Experimental Design

Abstract

Community health centres (CHCs) play a crucial role in healthcare delivery in Ghana, particularly for underserved communities. A systematic literature review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Studies published between and were included if they employed a quasi-experimental design to measure adoption rates in Ghanaian CHCs. The analysis revealed a significant increase (p < 0.05) in the adoption rate of digital health platforms by CHCs, with a proportion of 67% across all studies. Quasi-experimental designs are effective for measuring adoption rates and can inform policy decisions aimed at improving healthcare delivery in Ghanaian CHCs. Further longitudinal studies should be conducted to evaluate the long-term impact of digital health platforms on CHC services and patient outcomes.
